Can you tell us more about Bloomz?

Founded in 2013, Bloomz is a parent-teacher communication app that offers cutting-edge features that enhance the home-to-school connection, including behavior tracking and reporting. Our team, which includes former teachers and administrators, focuses on strengthening the connection between the district, their schools, and families, which leads to improved student outcomes.

What challenges or pain points did you have before using Odo?

It took way too long to put together proposals before - I’ve easily spent over 40 hours writing proposals from start to finish. This was especially challenging because we don’t have a full-time staff dedicated to RFP writing. It was something that I had to learn and do, in addition to my sales responsibilities. I often felt like I was shooting in the dark, since I haven’t had much prior experience in RFP writing before this role.

How did Odo help address those problems?

Getting the first draft from Odo has been a huge time saver. More than that, I no longer had to ping the development team to help answer specific questions from the RFP, since Odo already me with the answers. This was especially helpful because our development team is overseas, which makes getting timely responses challenging. Odo allowed me to finish the draft in a fraction of the time, and without needing input from other stakeholders.

What other benefits did you get from using Odo?

The quality of Odo’s draft was great - we’ve recently won a contract using Odo’s draft, so it’s great to see success! I have never been trained on how to write government proposals, so it’s helpful to lean on Odo, which has been trained on a set of winning proposals.

How do you plan on leveraging Odo in the future?

We’re excited to continue to use Odo in upcoming RFPs. I believe it will continue to save us tons of time, and also alleviate stress that inevitably comes with writing under a time crunch.
