- Obtain public input through at least two public engagement meetings
- Interview community and regional partners
- Provide a DeKalb County Profile including demographics and socioeconomic data
- Develop a SWOT analysis identifying trends and themes
- Identify local policy actions to make the County a premier business location
- Recommend programs for equitable economic development in underdeveloped areas
- Create a Strategic Action Plan with clear implementation steps
- Present the plan to Decide DeKalb Board and DeKalb County Board of Commissioners
- Provide monthly progress reports to the VP of Economic Development
