The buyer seeks an experienced audit firm to conduct its annual financial audit and single audit for a five-year period. The auditor will examine the buyer's financial statements, issue required reports, and assist with preparing the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. The buyer requires a firm with significant government auditing experience that can meet strict reporting deadlines and provide additional advisory services.
- 9/27/2024 - Proposal Due Date
- Current, valid license to practice public accounting in Florida
- Partners and managers must have active CPA license in Florida
- 5+ years auditing experience with Palm Beach County municipality
- Completed 3-5 comparable government audits as prime contractor in last 3 years
- Perform annual financial audit in accordance with government auditing standards
- Express opinion on fair presentation of financial statements
- Conduct single audit of federal and state awards
- Issue report on compliance and internal control
- Assist with preparing Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)
- Review self-insurance liability reserves
- Provide technical advice for GFOA Certificate of Achievement program
- Attend City Commission meeting to present audit report
- Offer annual government training seminar to City accounting staff
- Maintain working papers and provide access as required
- Complete interim audit work in August/September
- Provide detailed audit plan by September 30
- Complete fieldwork by end of January
- Issue all reports by first week of March
