Buyer seeks proposals for tribal tourism implementation projects to support economic development in Native American communities. Projects should showcase tribal culture, increase tourism, and build local entrepreneurial capacity. Grants will fund 24-month projects with budgets between $75,000-$150,000. Applicants must be federally recognized tribes or tribal organizations and provide completed planning documentation.

  • 10/25/2024 - Proposal Due Date
  • Must be federally recognized Indian Tribe or eligible Tribal Organization
  • Must have active SAM registration and ASAP enrollment with BIA
  • Must submit Tribal Resolution or Authorization Letter for grant application
  • Develop tourism implementation project centered on community economic need
  • Provide completed planning documentation (e.g. feasibility study, business plan)
  • Incorporate authentic local tribal culture throughout project
  • Include capacity building for local entrepreneurs
  • Establish tracking mechanisms to measure tourism goals and impacts
  • Promote understanding of Native American cultures and traditions
  • Increase tourism traffic and visitor/resident experiences
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses and organizations
  • Create project deliverables and milestones
