The buyer is seeking a consulting firm or planner to lead and organize a comprehensive update to the City's General Plan. The project includes developing a Climate Action Plan and Programmatic EIR. The selected consultant will manage the General Plan Update Consultant, coordinate work activities, and provide regular updates to City officials. The project is anticipated to be a 2-3 year assignment leading to adoption during the first half of 2027.

• Senior or Principal Planner Level
• Demonstrated experience managing General Plan Updates
• Minimum of 2 project profiles demonstrating similar work experience
• Projects completed within past 5 years

• Lead and organize comprehensive update to City's General Plan
• Manage General Plan Update Consultant on behalf of the City
• Coordinate work activities and assign tasks to appropriate staff
• Provide monthly summaries of invoices to the Director
• Develop RFP for General Plan Update with City Staff
• Monitor and review proposed legislation and planning activities
• Assist in pursuit of planning grants and identify funding opportunities
• Recruit community members for General Plan Advisory Committee
• Present updates to Planning Commission and City Council subcommittees
• Coordinate and schedule all GPAC meetings with specific agendas
