Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services

The buyer seeks providers to participate in its Continuum of Care network for child welfare services. Providers will deliver congregate care, therapeutic foster care, and other specialized residential services for children and youth in state custody. Services must be trauma-informed and evidence-based. Providers will collaborate with the buyer on placements and participate in quality improvement efforts. The buyer intends to make multiple awards to create a comprehensive service network.

• Receive minimum score of 12 from two references
• Be financially stable or solvent
• Provide audited financial statements for past 3 years
• Registered to do business in Mississippi

• Provide congregate care services for children and youth in state custody
• Operate therapeutic foster homes for children with special needs
• Deliver trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices
• Collaborate with MDCPS on referrals, admissions, and discharges
• Participate in MDCPS Continuum of Care network
• Provide specialized training to staff on trauma-informed care
• Address behavior management and crisis intervention
• Operate intake and assessment centers for emergency placements
• Run specialized group homes for victims of sex trafficking
• Provide supervised independent living services for older youth
