The buyer is seeking design engineering services for improvements to the I-70 Vail Chain Station. The project involves roadway design, drainage, utilities, ITS systems, and environmental clearances. The consultant will provide project management, conduct public outreach, and prepare final plans and specifications. The work is expected to take approximately 2.5 years to complete.

• 1/30/2025 - Questions Due
• 2/13/2025 - Proposal Due Date
• 3/7/2025 - Panel Meeting
• 3/12/2025 - Chief Engineer Selection/Approval
• 4/24/2025 - Contract Approval/Execution

• Prequalified with CDOT Engineering Contract Services within 7 days of submittal deadline
• Valid Master Pricing Agreement with CDOT prior to contract award
• Colorado-Licensed Professional Engineer, Architect, or Land Surveyor as appropriate
• Prime Consultant must provide at least 30% of work themselves

• Provide project management and development services
• Conduct roadway design for chain station improvements
• Perform drainage design and utility impact analysis
• Develop ITS system evaluation and design
• Complete NEPA documentation and clearances
• Prepare plans, specifications and cost estimates
• Conduct public and stakeholder meetings
• Perform geotechnical evaluation
• Develop traffic engineering plans
• Obtain necessary permits and right-of-way
