Colorado River Commission of Nevada

The buyer is seeking proposals from qualified certified public accounting firms to audit its financial statements and review internal controls. The audit is to be performed in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards. The contract will be for an initial one-year term with an option to renew for three additional years. The buyer requires assistance with creating the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and submitting it for the GFOA certificate program.

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant
• Must be licensed to practice accounting/auditing in Nevada
• Must have experience auditing municipal utilities and government entities

• Express opinion on financial statements in conformity with GAAP and GAGAS
• Audit books and create workpapers to support audit and financial statement preparation
• Assist with creation of Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)
• Review ACFR for GFOA certificate program submission
• Assist with development of closing adjustments related to federal hydropower contracts
• Provide annual audit conference and guidance on new GASB pronouncements
• Evaluate internal controls in compliance with GAGAS
• Assist with revision of Commission's internal control manual
• Issue reports on financial statements, compliance, and internal controls
• Provide special assistance for GFOA Certificate of Achievement program
