Promoting Resilient Operations for Transformative, Efficient, and Cost-Saving Transportation (PROTECT) Program

The buyer is soliciting applications for grants to strengthen surface transportation infrastructure to be more resilient to natural hazards and climate change impacts. The program includes funding for planning activities, resilience improvements, community resilience and evacuation routes, and at-risk coastal infrastructure. Grants will be awarded on a competitive basis to eligible entities including states, MPOs, local governments, and tribes. The buyer aims to reduce damage and disruption to transportation systems while improving safety and equity.

- Conduct seismic retrofits on bridges
