The buyer seeks to fund apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs for individuals in emergency housing assistance. Buyer aims to provide job skills and training resources to this population throughout Massachusetts. Grants will support costs of training, related services, and program development. Buyer emphasizes maximizing job skills and training resources for the target population in collaboration with workforce agencies and partners.

• Eligible to be MassHire Workforce Boards, Career Centers, industry associations, labor unions, educational institutions, or other entities
• In full compliance with obligations to state departments
• Ability to enroll initial cohort by January 15, 2025

• Develop and implement registered apprenticeship or pre-apprenticeship programs
• Provide job skills and training resources to emergency housing assistance recipients
• Enroll participants from eligible population into apprenticeship programs
• Deliver Related Technical Instruction (RTI) for apprentices
• Provide supportive services such as childcare and ESOL training
• Partner with employers to secure apprenticeship commitments
• Track and report demographic and completion data for participants
• Create articulation agreements for pre-apprentice graduates
• Conduct business outreach to expand apprenticeship opportunities
• Administer needs-based stipends for program participants
