The buyer is seeking a consultant to provide analysis, guidance and strategic direction for its employee medical, dental, life and long-term disability insurance plans. The buyer wants to substantially reduce annual claims costs without degrading plan benefits. The consultant will assist with identifying plan options, developing bids, negotiating with providers, and implementing changes. Services include ongoing account management, compliance assistance, and advising on industry trends.

• Provide analysis, guidance and strategic direction on employee benefit plans
• Identify benefit plan options to reduce costs while maintaining quality
• Develop bid proposals and negotiate with plan administrators/carriers
• Prepare reports and meet with County Commissioners and staff
• Assist with implementation and communication of new programs or changes
• Conduct pre-renewal review and assist with renewal negotiations
• Research and advise on new developments in benefits law and programs
• Provide quarterly review of plan performance and cost trends
• Assist with RFP process for benefits providers every 3 years if needed
• Provide dedicated service team and implementation assistance
