The buyer seeks a qualified and experienced Building and Planning Consultant to provide professional services for various projects. The consultant will assist with tasks related to Town code compliance, zoning, urban planning, and other development-related activities. The buyer aims to promote sustainable development, ensure public safety, and enhance the quality of life for the community. The selected consultant will support economic development, protect public health and safety, engage with stakeholders, and champion environmentally conscious practices.

• 3/27/2025 - Proposal Due Date
• 4/14/2025 - Selection and Contract Award

• Evaluate building plans for compliance with codes and standards
• Assess developments for compliance with zoning regulations and land use plans
• Review and recommend on applications including site plans and rezoning requests
• Attend monthly Planning Development and Review Board and Town Council meetings
• Assist with processing building and development permits
• Advise on building codes, ordinances, and enforcement procedures
• Participate in public hearings and meetings to present findings
• Offer guidance on urban design and environmental impact assessments
• Conduct site visits for pre-development evaluations and safety inspections
• Review Appropriation Applications within the Historic District
