• Experience auditing cities and/or counties
• Qualified firm of certified public accountants

• Audit annual comprehensive financial report (ACFR) of the City of Chico
• Audit separate financial statements of Chico Urban Area Joint Powers Financing Authority
• Perform audits for fiscal years ending June 30, 2025, 2026, and 2027
• Option to audit financial statements for two succeeding fiscal years
• Conduct audits in accordance with provided request for proposals
• Complete annual audits by November each year
• Present audit findings to Finance Committee and City Council
• Provide recommendations for improving financial processes and controls
• Prepare management letter detailing any identified deficiencies
• Assist in preparing the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
