The representative will assist Iowa companies with exporting to Japan, identify Japanese companies for potential investment in Iowa, coordinate trade missions and shows, provide market intelligence, and develop key relationships. - Minimum 5 years experience providing trade promotion services
- Established trade promotion/consulting background in Japan
- Experience assisting US corporations in exporting to Japan
- Fluency in English and Japanese languages
- Provide trade promotion services for Iowa companies in Japan
- Identify and work with Japanese companies for potential investment in Iowa
- Coordinate Iowa trade missions and trade shows in Japan
- Provide market research and intelligence on Japanese market opportunities
- Assist Iowa companies with exporting to Japan
- Develop relationships with Japanese trade organizations and government entities
- Provide local office support for visiting Iowa companies and staff
- Submit monthly reports on activities and interactions
