The buyer is seeking two consultants to provide statewide program specific bridge inspection engineering services. The work involves conducting routine bridge inspections, performing nondestructive testing, completing inventory and appraisal reports, and identifying nonredundant steel tension members. The consultants will also verify bridge posting, conduct load ratings as needed, and make scour observations. The contract duration is five years with a four-year inspection period.

• Be pre-qualified with CDOT Engineering Contract Services within 7 days of submittal deadline
• Meet qualifications stated in Code of Federal Regulations, 23 CFR, 650.309 for Project Manager and Team Leaders
• Individuals performing NDT must be qualified per ASNT Recommended Practice No. SNT-TC-1A
• Prime firm or team member must be pre-qualified in Bridge Inspection, Bridge Design, and Hydraulics

• Conduct routine bridge inspections statewide
• Perform nondestructive testing on steel members
• Complete structure inventory and appraisal reports
• Identify and inspect nonredundant steel tension members
• Verify proper bridge posting and signage
• Conduct load ratings on bridges as needed
• Make visual observations for scour at each bridge
• Attend CDOT Bridge Inspection quarterly meetings
• Provide monthly progress reports to CDOT Engineer
• Review and correct incomplete or inconsistent inspection reports
