The buyer seeks art consultants for a prequalified list to provide curatorial and technical services for digital billboards in the Moving Image Media Art Program. Consultants will curate exhibitions, manage projects, and oversee technical aspects of artwork display. The program features moving image artworks on multiple digital billboards along the Sunset Strip. Successful candidates will have expertise in contemporary media art and proven experience with large-scale digital screen exhibitions.

• At least two years of experience in digital art project management and curation
• Ability to meet City insurance requirements
• Ability to review exhibitions in situ and attend in-person meetings

• Curate exhibitions for digital billboards in the MIMA Program
• Provide planning, organization, and creative supervision for moving image media art projects
• Recruit artists, curators and galleries for the MIMA Artist and Curator Prequalified List
• Provide production, editing, and reformatting of artworks for digital billboards
• Present MIMA program exhibition proposals to the Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission
• Deliver artwork assets to billboard operators and resolve technical issues
• Review exhibitions in situ and report discrepancies of approved programming
• Provide administrative services such as drafting licensing agreements and staff reports
• Augment and distribute promotional materials for the program
• Attend meetings and make presentations as assigned by the Arts Manager
