Guilford County

Buyer is seeking a qualified third-party safety consultant to provide comprehensive occupational health and safety services. The consultant will support the buyer's Risk Management Department to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Services include safety training, workplace audits, incident investigations, and program administration. The contract will be for three years with option to renew for two additional one-year periods.

• OSHA 30-hour General Industry certification or equivalent (preferred)
• Relevant safety professional certifications (CSP, ASP, CHST preferred)
• Ability to design and deliver engaging safety training
• Proficiency with computer-based recordkeeping tools
• Valid driver's license

• Conduct comprehensive safety training needs assessment across county departments
• Develop and deliver interactive safety training sessions for county employees
• Perform field safety audits and inspections of county facilities
• Conduct Job Safety Analyses for diverse job functions
• Investigate accidents/incidents and identify root causes
• Analyze safety data to identify trends and needed interventions
• Develop written safety programs compliant with regulations
• Maintain documentation of all safety activities and certifications
• Stay current with regulatory changes and advise county leadership
• Provide monthly reports on safety metrics and recommendations
