  • Understand issues related to socioeconomic status in Vermont communities
  • Able to reach SNAP-Ed eligible populations in targeted regions
  • Have ability to use actual cost reimbursement method for claiming reimbursement
  • Have accounting system to support expenditures billed to federal award
  • Have capacity to conduct required evaluation
  • Able to complete proposed work plan within grant year timeframe
  • Have capacity to conduct programming with fidelity
  • Implement nutrition education based on Dietary Guidelines for Americans
  • Conduct classes on basic cooking and menu planning skills
  • Educate on benefits of physical activity and ways to be active
  • Develop and implement nutrition/physical activity policies in organizations
  • Collaborate with schools to improve nutrition environment and physical activity opportunities
  • Establish community food gardens in low-income areas
  • Work with local governments on policies for eliminating food deserts
  • Collaborate with community groups to improve food and physical activity environments
  • Provide interventions at settings with low-income populations
  • Conduct social marketing and health promotion efforts
