Buyer seeks qualified Asbestos Abatement contractors to provide services on residential Weatherization projects for the Macomb County Weatherization Assistance Program. Contractors must provide all necessary labor, materials, training, services, insurance and equipment for asbestos removal. Work must be performed according to standards set by the US Department of Energy, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and Macomb Community Action. Contractors selected will be on a roster for a minimum two-year contract with possible one-year extension.

• 4/15/2025 - Proposal Due Date

• Current Asbestos Abatement Contractor License from State of Michigan
• MIOSHA accreditation certificates for all Asbestos Workers and supervisors
• Proper insurance including commercial general liability and professional liability
• SAM.gov registration with UEI number
• Registered on Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN)

• Remove asbestos containing material (ACM) from residential weatherization projects
• Comply with OSHA, EPA, ICC, DNR, and DOT regulations
• Provide proper disposal manifests showing debris disposal at Type II landfill
• Furnish all labor, materials, employee training, services, insurance and equipment
• Attend required training sessions as directed by the County
• Maintain all necessary licenses and certifications for asbestos abatement
• Follow standards set by Department of Energy and Michigan DHHS
• Provide copies of MIOSHA Asbestos Program accreditation certificates for all workers
• Maintain proper insurance coverage including professional liability/errors & omissions
• Prevent environmental contamination during asbestos removal operations
