  • Develop congressional and legislative strategy for funding
  • Recommend federal funding options for grants and appropriations
  • Engage House and Senate Appropriations Committees
  • Organize informational meetings in Washington and Rhode Island
  • Advocate with Department of Transportation and White House staff
  • Communicate with senior political appointees
  • Facilitate flow of federal dollars
  • Arrange contacts with federal departmental officials
  • Develop long-term grant planning program
  • Monitor legislative activities related to infrastructure and transportation
  • Provide periodic reports on funding efforts
  • Coordinate unified messaging at the federal level
  • Identify grant opportunities through federal agencies
  • Structure annual grant application system
  • Meet with Executive Director to determine priorities
  • Educate officials on safety, economic development and tourism benefits
  • Advance RITBA's federal infrastructure agenda
  • Work with agency staff on federal funding flow
  • Monitor appropriations and grant debates
  • Serve as Washington coordinator for RITBA
