• Identify, recruit, and encourage potential candidates
• Build and vet viable pool of diverse candidates
• Perform needs assessment before building candidate pool
• Verify finalist credentials and education
• Conduct media reviews for potential concerns
• Secure candidate signatures on vita/bio accuracy statements
• Conduct professional reference checks
• Facilitate preparation for campus/remote interviews
• Participate in finalizing employment offer details
• Develop and implement national marketing plan
• Provide website access to candidate credentials
• Contact all interested candidates about search outcome
• Enhance outreach efforts for diverse candidates
• Provide ongoing feedback throughout search process
• Maintain availability of key personnel throughout project
• Track and document marketing plan metrics
• Replace candidate if they leave within one year
• Support crisis management during search if needed
• Engage with search committee of diverse stakeholders
