Buyer is seeking qualified firms to provide design engineering services for replacing approximately 2 miles of water line in Tucson Mountain Park. The water line runs under N. Kinney Road from the eastern intersection with W. McCain Loop to the Ranger House near the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum entrance. The project will require full road closure with detour plans and involves federally funded work through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Design services are expected to begin in August 2025 with construction anticipated in May 2026.

  • Develop traffic detour plans for road closure during construction
  • Locate and design water line crossings at culverts
  • Design for air relief valves and shut-off valves
  • Conduct utility coordination and mapping
  • Provide post-design services during bidding and construction
  • Develop environmental documentation with federal agencies
  • Prepare accurate cross-sections using LiDAR data
