Buyer seeks a qualified Michigan Licensed Contractor to perform Lead-Based Paint Inspections/Risk Assessments and Healthy Homes Assessments for approximately 80 residential units. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating and conducting lead inspections, developing scopes of work, and conducting clearance testing. This project is funded through a HUD Lead Hazard Reduction Demonstration Grant aimed at producing lead-safe housing for families with children under age 6 living in high-risk neighborhoods.

• Experience performing Lead-Based Paint Inspections/Risk Assessments
• Experience conducting Healthy Homes Assessments

• Conduct lead inspections and risk assessments for 80 housing units
• Perform Healthy Homes Assessments to identify health/safety issues
• Analyze dust and soil samples using EPA-recognized laboratories
• Develop detailed scopes of work for lead hazard control
• Separate activities between LHRD and Healthy Homes Supplemental funding
• Provide line-item cost estimates for each activity
• Create comprehensive assessment reports with photos of hazards
• Conduct clearance testing after lead hazard control activities
• Follow HUD Guidelines for evaluation and control
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations
