Buyer seeks engineering services for the Sun Haven Resiliency Planning Project to address recurring flooding issues. The project involves developing drainage improvements at Palmer Avenue and Spencer Drive. Consultant will perform field investigations, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and develop preliminary design and cost estimates for implementation. The work will help mitigate flooding conditions at the Dorchester Gardens property.

• 6/11/2025 - Proposal Due Date
• 6/18/2025 - Notice of Award anticipated

• Perform field investigations including utility mark-outs and topographic survey
• Conduct CCTV inspection of existing drainage infrastructure
• Perform geotechnical investigations to assess depth to rock and infiltration potential
• Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models for watershed analysis
• Create flood depth maps for various storm scenarios
• Assess existing drainage pipes, culverts, and channels
• Design preliminary drainage improvements with cost estimates
• Calculate benefit/cost ratio for recommended drainage solutions
• Develop detention/retention system designs
• Identify all permit requirements for implementation
• Prepare engineering report with preliminary design plans
• Assess existing MTA culvert and NYSTA drainage channel
• Coordinate with multiple property owners including MTA and NYSTA
• Graphically depict flood depths for different storm events
• Prepare opinion of cost for detailed design and construction
• Evaluate drainage system performance for 1-50 year storms
• Document existing conditions and propose feasible improvements
• Present findings in professionally signed/sealed engineering report
• Consider constructability and real estate constraints in designs
• Analyze and address recurring flooding at Dorchester Gardens
