Buyer needs hospital sitting services for children in DFPS conservatorship who are hospitalized due to illness or injury. The services include providing appropriate supervision and basic child care when a DFPS staff person or foster parent is unavailable. Sitters must be available 24/7 and ensure they remain awake and observant of the child at all times. The contract may also require court-related and case consultation services based on the hospital sitting services provided.

  • 9/1/2025 - Anticipated Contract Start Date
  • 8/31/2030 - Proposal Due Date
  • Two years of full-time service management experience
  • Two years relevant financial management experience
  • Hospital sitters must be at least 21 years old
  • Hospital sitters must have high school diploma or GED
  • Hospital sitters must have one year experience working with children
  • Hospital sitters must complete trauma informed care training
  • Hospital sitters must be screened for tuberculosis
  • Provide 24/7 hospital sitting services for children in DFPS conservatorship
  • Ensure sitters are always awake and observant of the child
  • Develop a network of qualified and trained hospital sitters
  • Provide trauma-informed care to hospitalized children
  • Interact appropriately with children based on their age and medical condition
  • Assist with feeding children as needed and approved by medical staff
  • Report changes in child's condition to charge nurse and DFPS staff
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and records
  • Provide court-related services when requested by DFPS
  • Offer case consultation services when requested by DFPS
